COMPANY PROFILE

Investment Philosophy

Since inception, K2 has invested to its own benchmark - to deliver annualised net returns of 15% for the Asian Pacific and Australian and New Zealand strategies, and 15% for the International strategy, net of fees over a three to five year period - reflecting its philosophy of achieving an absolute return in all market conditions.

Unlike index relative funds that may outperform the index yet still deliver negative returns, K2 seeks to preserve capital while providing consistent positive performance.

All of K2’s funds have a long/short mandate with a long bias, for positive returns in both rising and falling markets. Our liquid portfolios allow for a quick response to changing market conditions, including the ability to hold high levels of cash as a defensive measure in periods of extreme volatility or downturn.

This philosophy has delivered strong returns, since inception in 1999, in both positive and negative market conditions.
